Time: Thursdays 5:30-9PM
Please note: some homework may be required to complete the project. Participants are welcome to work on their project whenever the studio is open between classes/ after class.
In this workshop participants will learn to design their own project on a table loom. Participants will start by choosing yarns and a weaving draft and learning to adapt the draft to their own project. Participants will learn to create a warp and dress the loom independently. Wet finishing techniques will be covered.
Chosen handwoven project: scarf / table runner / hanging
Who is this workshop for?
This class is for anyone wanting to learn to set up a loom and design a project independently.
Participants should be comfortable with basic table loom operation (not set up) and be familiar with reading a weaving draft.
Studio looms will be provided for this workshop. Participants are welcome to bring materials or purchase materials after project planning. Materials are not provided for this workshop.
