Dates: 3 Consecutive Tuesdays - October 13, 20, 27.
Time: 5:30PM - 8:30PM 

 

*We like everyone to go home with a finished project, so end times are approximate for each day.

“Colour and weave” is a phrase used to describe the way that warp and weft threads interact to create patterns in plain weave. This course will cover over 20 different colour and weave combinations! You will leave with your very own colour and weave sampler and an understanding of how to use colour in a new way. 

Looms will be pre-warped for this workshop! 

You’ll learn:

  • The basics of colour and weave theory
  • How to make a warp with lots of colour changes
  • How to make a weaver’s gamp
  • How to weave with two or three shuttles and keep your selvedges nice
  • How to weave your gamp to square
  • How to plan your next project in colour and weave!

 

This workshop requires basic knowledge of weaving. Participants should have used a 4 shaft loom before and be comfortable weaving plain weave. 

All supplies are included: 

 

  • Studio Floor Looms are used for this workshop
  • Cotton warp
  • Cotton weft
  • Instructional Booklet

We are not able to refund workshops. We are able to provide a store credit for workshops cancelled with 72 hrs notice. We are not able to provide a refund or store credit for cancellations with less than 72 hrs notice, even for participants who are feeling unwell. Thank you for your understanding.
