Design and create your own handwoven pouch from thread, to cloth, to pouch! In this workshop, you will learn to weave on a 4 shaft loom and create your own one of a kind textile. After weaving with Kim on Friday, you will take your handwoven textile and transform it into a lined pouch with Angela. You will choose from one of two designs and sew in a zipper.

You’ll learn:

  • The basics of 4 shaft loom operation
  • How to weave plain weave, twill, and zig zag patterns on a loom
  • The basics of sewing with handwoven fabrics
  • How to install a zipper

No previous weaving experience is required. Participants should be comfortable sewing a straight stitch on a sewing machine.

All supplies are included:

  • Studio Looms are used for this workshop, pre warped
  • Cotton warp
  • Variety of weft yarns to choose from including linen, cotton and wool.
  • All sewing fabric and materials
  • Instructional Booklet
