The Diana is a computer dobby loom: a computer interface on the side of the loom can be programmed to execute any desired treadling order, allowing the weaver to create extremely detailed patterns without worrying about treadling errors.
This computer dobby floor loom can be operate in 2 differents ways.
Using the two treadles.
The right Treadle lifts the Shafts to open the Shed. The left Treadle assists the return of the Shafts to neutral and controls the Pattern advance.
Using the front handle:
This Operating Handle lifts the Shafts and locks the Shed open freeing both Hands to operate the Loom. The Operating Handle is then lowered changing the Shed to the next pick position and completing the cycle.
The interface Box supply with the loom is self contained.
