Demi-Damask Kitchen Towels Kit

Pattern by Megan Samms

These demi-damask, or half damask, kitchen towels are a generous size! The finished towel is fine, soft and light and yet hard working. Organic cotton gives a soft loft to the cloth while the hemp is crisp, absorbent and hard working. Due to the generous size of these towels, they can be used as such or as small table runners, baby towels, side table runners, hair towels or anything you can put your mind to!

This pattern was designed by Megan Samms, a textile designer, weaver, natural dyer, and restorative farmer. Megan lives and works on her traditional Mi’kmaw territory in rural Ktaqmkuk at the Katalisk Sipu (Codroy Valley, Newfoundland). As Newfoundland’s provincial representative on the Guild of Canadian Weavers and a juried member of the Craft Council of Newfoundland, Megan is committed to promoting high technical standards within her craft community.
