About this Workshop:
Looms are nifty and everything, but have you tried fingerweaving? Join Métis Artist Krista Leddy to learn this method of weaving that is often best known for making the intricate sashes worn by Métis people. This workshop series includes weaving set up, patterning, multiple panel weaving, project planning, and lots of Métis stories.

About the Instructor:
Krista Leddy is a proud Métis woman whose family comes from the historical Métis communities of St. Albert and Lac St. Anne. She currently calls amiskwaciywâskahikan (Edmonton) home. She is an internationally known artist who uses teachings and stories from her community to guide the work she creates. Krista has a passion to share what she knows about Métis culture and the world around her to anyone with an open spirit and mind.
