This scarf was inspired by Edmonton’s stunning river valley and the desire to simply highlight these beautiful new yarn colors. A clasped weft is utilized to allow for tone on tone in the warp and weft, creating a deliciously cushy basketweave scarf. Tripling warp ends develops subtle vertical stripes that are a textural treat for the hands and eyes.

The Riverbank Scarf pattern was designed using Ravine yarn (50% Alpaca 50% Merino Wool). Ravine is a luxuriously soft alpaca-merino wool line designed in our studio specifically for weavers. The softest of Alpaca from the Peruvian highlands is custom blended with a non-super wash merino wool.

We have made a video tutorial as an adjunct to this pattern! A link to view is included in the PDF download.
