Join us in using this traceable, sustainable local wool to create the most beautiful blanket!

Designed by Mila Zenith, this blanket makes the perfect luxury gift for the sustainably minded person in your life (even if that is you)!

The wool:

100% wool grown + spun on treaty 6, 7 and 8 territory in Alberta. Worsted weight, 2 ply.

Gather has been working in collaboration with local wool and dye expert Kalea Turner-Beckman, local farmers, and Gather weaver Shanon Nelson to bring you a line of blanket wool designed specifically for weavers. This is a project that has been over a year in the making.

Parkland Blanket Wool has been extensively woven and sampled in our studio. When you weave with Parkland Blanket Wool, you are joining us in this sustainable project. With your support, we aim to offer you a new local weaving wool each year.

To use this pattern you will need access to a 4 shaft loom with a weaving width of  45" and an 8 dent reed.

Difficulty: Beginner

What a treat it is to weave this blanket using the rich, natural black fleece color. The basket weave structure creates a cushy, soft, durable blanket that you won’t be able to put down.

Finished Dimensions: finished blankets are (approx 37" wide and x 55" long after washing)
